Undaunted by the threat of Russian shelling, American sponsors of the charity fund "To Ukraine with Love!" came to Chuguev to talk to the people they are helping, hear their stories firsthand, and express their respect.
A teacher from Idaho who, with her students, raised funds for three months of operation of the canteen at the Chuguiv hospital. An elderly mother whose son voluntarily joined the ranks of the defenders of Ukraine and gave his life for her. A young couple who cannot enjoy a comfortable life when children are dying somewhere. These are not politicians or powerful people. They are ordinary people, just like us. That is why they are able to sympathize and empathize.
Of course, the Americans did not come empty-handed - they brought a new multifunctional electric stove and some other useful things for the catering unit of our hospital. We talked with the cooks, patients of the hospital and even tasted the dishes that the charitable foundation "To Ukraine with Love!" is treating the poor residents of Chugui on their behalf.
The head of the Chuguiv city military administration, Galina Minaeva, expressed sincere respect for American benefactors, their like-minded people in the USA, and all the American people. Our community, even by Ukrainian standards, is quite small, and now feels the support of thousands of people from different countries, whose friendship overcomes the distances of oceans and continents. So we are invincible!
