On March 16, the newly appointed Head of UNICEF Ukraine, Ms. Anne-Claire Dufay, paid a working visit to Chuguiv. The Chuguiv community was one of the first she visited after her appointment.
During the visit, the delegation presented the results of cooperation between the Chuguiv community and the international organization over the past years. With the support of UNICEF, a number of socially important projects aimed at supporting children and families were implemented.
In particular, Ms. Anne-Claire Dufay and her colleagues visited two departments of the city's Rehabilitation Center for Children with Disabilities "Chance" - day care and early intervention. It is with the funds of UNICEF, co-financed with the local budget, that highly qualified specialists work here, who identify children's health problems at an early stage, and also provide their parents with the opportunity to temporarily leave their child in a comfortable and developing environment.
The delegation also visited educational spaces for preschoolers and schoolchildren, created to overcome educational losses caused by the war. These facilities are the result of joint work between the community and UNICEF.
The Head of the Representation highly appreciated what she saw, demonstrating a deep understanding of child protection issues and significant international experience in this area.
The head of the Chuhuiv city military administration, Halyna Minaeva, expressed hope that this visit will be the beginning of a new stage of cooperation with UNICEF and will open up additional opportunities for the development of social and humanitarian projects in the Chuhuiv community.
