The International Academy of Literature, Arts and Communications (Germany-Ukraine and its branch in the USA, the Pegasus Bridge Association/Pegasus Brücke FBG (Germany) and the International Literary and Art Academy of Ukraine, which unites creative people from 70 countries around the world, have announced this year's laureates of the Ilya Repin International Art Prize. Among the honorees are Chuguiv artists Nepomnyashchy Volodymyr Ivanovych, Nepomnyashchy Olga Volodymyrivna, and Altukhov Igor Oleksandrovych!
The honorary award was established to honor the outstanding artist Ilya Repin, actively promote talented contemporary Ukrainian artists in Ukraine and abroad, significant scientific research by art historians, and new interesting publications by writers and journalists dedicated to painting.
The classic of Ukrainian art, Ilya Repin, was born on August 5, 1844 in Chuguyiv. He ended his earthly journey on September 29, 1930 in Finland. His works are a vivid phenomenon of world culture. History, religion, social injustice, the beauty of man and nature... - he covered all topics and realized his artistic gift to the fullest. The painter's productivity is impressive: Ilya Efimovich gave the world hundreds of paintings! Ilya Repin maintained his connection with his hometown, Slobozhanshchyna, and Ukraine until the end of his life, and Ukrainian motifs were the main ones in the artist's work. One of his most famous paintings is "The Cossacks Write a Letter to the Turkish Sultan.".
We are pleased to announce the selection and awarding of outstanding artists from Ukraine, in particular the glorious city of Chuguev, where Ilya Repin was born, at the suggestion of the International Academy of Literature, Arts and Communications (Germany). These are the leaders and teachers of the children's art school, which proudly bears his name. We sincerely congratulate the laureates!
