At the invitation of Fastiv City Mayor Mykhailo Netyazhuk, the head of the Chuhuiv City Military Administration, Halyna Minaeva, visited the city of Fastiv on the day when Europe Day was celebrated there. The atmosphere of unity, openness, and cooperation that prevailed during the event once again confirmed that communities can do more together.
This year, the Chuhuyiv and Fastiv communities began official cooperation by signing a memorandum within the framework of the national project "Side by Side: United Communities." And although the partnership between the two communities is only gaining momentum, we already have significant results.
Pupils and the collective of the Chuguiv Children's Music School performed on stage at the festive concert on the occasion of Europe Day. Our young musicians, together with their mentors, became a real decoration of the event, presenting the talent, inspiration and artistic potential of Chuguiv.
In March, as part of the cooperation, another group of children – students of the Chuguiv Tourism and Local Lore Center – spent their spring break in Fastiv. They took part in sports competitions, got acquainted with the history, culture, and modern life of the partner city.
In addition to participating in the festivities, Halyna Minaeva had the opportunity to get acquainted with the European projects that are already being implemented in the Fastiv community and see the facilities opened within the framework of these initiatives. The head of the Chuhuiv MVA also talked with European partners, telling them about the Chuhuiv community, its potential, achievements and challenges. «"It was important for me to present Chuhuiv as an active, open-to-cooperation community that is ready for new initiatives and partnerships"», – noted Galina Minaeva.
