The project is dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the birth of Ilya Repin, an outstanding artist, a genius of Ukrainian realistic fine art, whose name the Chuguiv Children's Art School has proudly borne for more than 70 years.
The school presented the creative work of students and teachers, as well as a reporting online exhibition of the summer plein air practice, which traditionally takes place annually in June and concludes the academic year.
Creative work was carried out in online and offline formats in Ukraine and abroad, where the school's talented students are located.
As part of the art project "Unbreakable Art. International Plein Air", the school presents the plein air work of students in grades 1-5 of the school, who are located in the city of Chuguiv, in Ukraine and abroad.
The war has been going on for more than two years, the city is constantly under fire, but the educational process at the art school has never been interrupted, the teachers have been working online and offline all the time, holding consultative meetings, holding many patriotic exhibitions, actions, etc., and by all possible means helping the country and the Armed Forces of Ukraine to survive this terrible war, maintaining the artistic front.
The incredible results of their studies and victories in many International and All-Ukrainian exhibitions, competitions, and art festivals can be seen on the official pages of the Chuguiv City Council on social networks and on the page of the school director, Volodymyr Nepomnyashchy.
In a special, anniversary year, the summer plein air is dedicated to the 180th anniversary of Ilya Repin's birthday and the Constitution Day of Ukraine and acquires the status of an international one, because many of the students are in other countries of the world and work far from their hometown, but are constantly in touch with their teachers. Other students, who are in different parts of Ukraine and in their hometown, paint their masterpieces, completing numerous creative tasks proposed by their mentors.
«…Continuously draw from life, because nature is the main teacher for the artist…» – so said Ilya Repin. The Chuguev Children's Art School has been fulfilling this testament of the great artist for many years.
