On February 17, 2026, the military serviceman, soldier Serhiy Alekseevich Yakuba, was laid to rest in Chuguiv. The hero died a year ago, on January 5, 2025, while performing a combat mission on one of the hottest front lines, but only now was the family able to say a dignified farewell to their loved one.
Serhiy Yakuba was drafted into military service by the Chuguiv RTCC and SP, serving as a grenade launcher. At the time of his death, he was 37 years old.
Serhiy Yakub was buried in Chuguiv on the Alley of Memory with full military honors.
