On June 18, the head of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Ukraine, Robert Turner, paid a working visit to the Chuhuiv community.
This respected international institution is a long-standing and reliable partner of the Chuguiv community. It is enough to mention that it was the International Organization for Migration that provided us with assistance in preparing damaged city boiler houses for winter operation, setting up a modern water quality laboratory in the Chuguivvoda commune, implementing a project to restore agricultural activity in rural settlements, donating several powerful generators to our municipal enterprises, etc.
The main purpose of Robert Turner's visit was to get acquainted with the progress of the implementation of a joint project in our community by the Ukrainian Humanitarian Fund and the French charity organization Première Urgence Internationale with the support of the IOM. Its content is to provide free medicines and hygiene items to vulnerable categories of our countrymen by issuing e-vouchers. We are talking about drugs that do not fall under the state program "Affordable Medicines". At the current stage of the project implementation, it is planned to cover more than two thousand residents of the Chuhuiv community with e-vouchers.
The Head of the IOM Representative Office in Ukraine today had the opportunity to see with his own eyes how the work on issuing vouchers is organized at the Chuguiv City Primary Health Care Center. He spoke with doctors, nurses and the patients themselves. The guest was very touched by the words of sincere gratitude for such important assistance to vulnerable categories of community residents, which were expressed to him by one of the women who was at the outpatient clinic.
During today's visit, Robert Turner also discussed with the Deputy Head of the Chuguiv MVA Igor Shepelev possible areas of further cooperation, in particular, strengthening the material and technical base of healthcare facilities in our community.
On behalf of the head of the Chuguiv MVA, Galina Minaeva, Igor Shepelev expressed deep gratitude to our partners for their comprehensive assistance, and at the same time the hope that it will continue in the future.
