Oleg Viktorovich BRYAKOV was born on June 15, 1970 in the city of Shadrinsk, Kurgan region, Russian Federation.

He studied at Shadrinsk secondary school. In 1988 he was drafted into military service. He served in the 1st Guards Mechanized Vienna Red Banner Order of Suvorov Brigade as a gunner of an infantry fighting vehicle.

In the early 90s, Oleg, together with his grandfather, mother and stepfather, moved to Ukraine and settled in the city of Chuguiv in the Aviator neighborhood, worked at the Ukrainian Construction Company as a locksmith, and then as an electric and gas welder. Upon graduation, he received the rank of ensign and the specialty of a mechanic for servicing jet aircraft engines and continued his service until 1998.

After being discharged from military service, he decided to go abroad to earn money. Abroad (in Russia), he worked for over 15 years at enterprises related to oil production. In 2019, when the border was closed due to the coronavirus, he decided not to travel abroad anymore. After returning from abroad, he settled in the village of Sydorenkove, Valkivskyi district, Kharkiv region, where he lived with his family and worked as a driver at a local dairy.

However, with the beginning of a full-scale invasion, Oleg, without hesitation, decided to defend our country.

Проте з початком повномасштабного вторгнення Олег, не вагаючись, прийняв рішення стати на захист нашої країни.

On February 26, 2022, he was enlisted in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the Bogodukhiv RTCC and the Joint Special Forces of the Kharkiv region. As part of the 60th separate mechanized Ingulets brigade, as a platoon sergeant major, he participated in the liberation of settlements in the Kherson region from the enemy. Next was the Rivne region and the performance of a combat mission to protect the state border of Ukraine. Then there was Bakhmut again, part of which was already controlled by the enemy. It was here during intense street battles that he was wounded.

After treatment, Oleg had the right to be discharged from service, but like a true hero, after treatment and a rehabilitation course, he returned to the army. The next milestones of his front-line geography were the Kharkiv region, Donetsk region, Kharkiv region again and one of its hottest areas - Kupyansky, fierce battles in the area of Synkivka.
