In what form is a promissory note drawn up?
It is better if the receipt is handwritten. If it is printed, it must be signed by the borrower.
The wording should be clear and understandable, without errors. Any corrections in the text may call into question the authenticity of the document.
If the amount is large, it is better to involve witnesses or have the receipt certified by a notary.
What to include in the receipt
Personal details of the parties, date and place of conclusion, loan amount and currency, repayment term and conditions, signatures.

I undertake to return the specified amount by July 21, 2025. In case of late payment, I will pay a penalty of 1% of the debt amount for each day of delay.

If the debt is not repaid
The lender has the right to file a lawsuit within 3 years from the specified return date.
You must keep the receipt until the funds are fully refunded.

Everyone can get free legal advice from the free legal aid system. Lawyers will advise on how to draw up a receipt and what to do if the debt is not repaid.
Some categories of people are also entitled to free assistance with applying to the court.
