Fires in the Kharkiv region during wartime are not just scorched earth, but a deadly threat from the detonation of mines and shells left in the soil.
Rescuers urge people to follow basic safety rules:
Do not visit the forests! There is a strict ban for civilians in the Kharkiv region.
No burning with dry wood! Fire provokes the detonation of ammunition.
Create buffer strips (at least 4 m wide) near forests and roads.
Remember your responsibility:
• Fine for burning dead wood – up to 6,120 UAH.
• Intentional arson in wartime is sabotage (life imprisonment or 15 years in prison).
See a fire? Don't take any chances! Move away and call 101 or 112 immediately.
Take care of yourself and our land!
