In the morning, in the city center, this important symbol of Ukrainian statehood was solemnly raised as a reminder that no one will ever be able to bring our people to their knees.
The right to raise the flag was granted to officers of two combat Chuguiv military units: the 92nd Infantry Brigade named after Kosh Ataman Ivan Sirko and the Chuguiv Separate Territorial Defense Battalion.
On this important day for every Ukrainian, we all feel not only pride in our belonging to a free people, but also sadness and longing for its sons and daughters who gave their lives for this freedom. One of them is our countryman Denis Sushchenko, who heroically died in battle with the Russian invaders. In a solemn atmosphere, the head of the Chuguiv MVA Galina Minaeva and the head of the Chuguiv RTCC and SP Oleksandr Kurichenkov presented the soldier’s mother with a high state award – the Order «For Courage» of the 3rd degree.
