On August 22, 2024, the head of the Chuguiv City Military Administration, Halyna Minaeva, had the first online meeting with the leaders of the municipality of the Swedish city of Danderyd, during which the participants presented their communities and discussed the prospects for establishing twinning relations.
– An interesting story about how I met our new friends from Sweden, – says Galina Minaeva in her Telegram channel. – It began in June of this year in Berlin during my participation in the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC). It was there that I met Johan Forssell, the Minister of International Cooperation and Foreign Trade of Sweden. Having heard from me about the desire of the Chuguiv community to find its counterparts in Sweden, Mr. Forssell helped to get contacts with the Danderyd municipality. And today our first meeting took place. I am impressed by the friendliness of the residents of this city and their awareness of the difficult conditions in which Ukrainians now have to live and work.
During today's online meeting, agreements were reached with Swedish colleagues to sign a memorandum of cooperation in the near future, which will open the way to partnership relations in various spheres of community life.
