Important information regarding amendments to the order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated July 23, 2002 No. 280 "On the organization of mandatory preventive medical examinations of employees of certain professions, industries and organizations whose activities are related to serving the population and may lead to the spread of infectious diseases.".
The Chuhuyiv District Department of the Main Department of the State Service for Food and Consumer Protection in the Kharkiv Region draws attention, that 01.10.2024 The order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated 08.11.2023 No. 1925 "On Amendments to the Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated 23.07.2002 No. 280 "On the Organization of Mandatory Preventive Medical Examinations of Employees of Certain Professions, Industries and Organizations, the Activities of which are Related to Serving the Population and May Lead to the Spread of Infectious Diseases" comes into force.
The document updates the requirements for organizing and conducting preventive medical examinations for employees of certain professions, in particular, changes have been made:
– in the list of industries, professions and organizations in which unvaccinated persons or persons suffering from certain infectious diseases may not be admitted to work;
– in the list of infectious diseases, the carriage or disease of which is the basis for not being allowed to perform professional duties. The document was expanded to include infectious diseases that can cause emergencies in the public health system, and instead excluded those that are not transmitted from person to person;
– in the list of necessary examinations for mandatory medical examinations, the following were added:
*mandatory laboratory tests - general blood and urine analysis, blood glucose,
*instrumental examinations – blood pressure and ECG measurement,
* physical examinations;
– a psychiatrist was added to the required specialist doctors;
– fluorography or X-ray examination of the chest organs will be performed exclusively if the employee has risk factors for tuberculosis infection – after completing a questionnaire;
– bacteriological tests ("intestinal group" and "staphylococcus smear") will become mandatory only for employees directly involved in the production and sale of food products.
If an employee's work involves a risk of becoming infected while performing professional duties and/or infecting others and there is vaccination against the specified infectious diseases, such an employee will not be allowed to work without vaccinations.
