On May 23, our country celebrates Heroes of Ukraine Day!
Heroes' Day is an opportunity to express our sincere gratitude and respect to those who, without hesitation, gave their loving filial hearts to our Mother Ukraine, whose heroic deeds became an example for future generations.
Ukrainian heroes are ordinary people, women and men, boys and girls, children and the elderly.
Ukrainian heroes are our compatriots who, as part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Territorial Defense, National Police, National Guard, SBU, and volunteer battalions, are destroying Russian invaders.
Ukrainian heroes are all those who became volunteers and worked around the clock to help the Ukrainian army and the victims of the Moscow horde.
Ukrainian heroes include, among others, the residents of the Chuhuiv community, who continue to work to keep the economy running, to fill the local budget, and to ensure that Ukraine has something to finance its army.
I can proudly say that Chuguivshchyna is the land of Heroes. This has been proven for centuries and is still being proven by thousands of Chuguiv residents and residents of our rural settlements, who, without sparing their lives, defend their native land with weapons in their hands.
On this day, I would like to address with special respect and warmth the relatives and friends of our compatriots who gave their lives in the fight against the Russian aggressors. I understand that your grief cannot be appeased by any words. Together with all the residents of the Chuguiv community, I bow my head to the feat of your native Heroes.
