Born on August 8, 1986 in the city of Luhansk into the family of a military man. Since 1988, he has lived with his family in the city of Chuguiv.
Maksym spent his entire school life in schools in the city of Chuguiv: Chuguiv comprehensive schools No. 4 and No. 6, and in 2003 he graduated from Chuguiv secondary school of I-III grades No. 8. He spent a lot of time at the center of tourism and local history, attending cycling and orienteering clubs. For three years, as part of the Chuguiv team, he won prizes at regional competitions.
After graduating from school, he studied at the Kharkiv Vocational Lyceum of Railway Transport, majoring in "Assistant Locomotive and Electric Locomotive Driver.".
During 2005-2006, he served in the State Border Guard Service. After leaving the Armed Forces, he continued his service under a contract at the Kharkiv Military District.
In 2010, he graduated from the Kharkiv State Academy of Physical Culture with a degree in physical education teacher; physical education manager. After the end of his contract in 2013-2015, he worked abroad.
During 2016-2017, he volunteered as part of the 54th separate mechanized brigade to participate in the anti-terrorist operation in the Bakhmut area. On May 13, 2022, he volunteered to defend the Motherland. Initially, he served as the commander of the mechanized division at the tank forces institute of the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute. In the fall, he was transferred to the 58th brigade of the 16th battalion to the position of company senior sergeant. Later, he was appointed an instructor at the training ground in the city of Honcharivsk, Chernihiv region. In July, he graduated with honors from the basic level Instructor training courses. Since August 2023, he has been enrolled in the 110th separate mechanized brigade named after Brigadier General Mark Bezruchko near Avdiivka.

Circumstances of death:
In October 2023, while at "zero", he was wounded, the degree of injury was severe. Without further treatment, he returned to the brigade, because in January and February there were heavy battles near Avdiivka. In March, the brigade was taken on rotation to the village of Dubiivka, Cherkasy region, where he died on 07.04.2024.
The Hero was buried on April 16, 2024 in the city of Chuguev at cemetery No. 5.
