Born on September 16, 1973 in the city of Kharkiv. Before the war, he lived with his family in the village of Kamyana Yaruga.
In February 1992, he graduated from the Kharkiv Machine-Building College with a degree in tractor construction, with a qualification as a mechanic technician. He played sports and loved fishing. During 1992-1994, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the city of Mukachevo in the 1056th separate radio technical unit of early warning. He was discharged from military service with the military rank of senior sergeant. After completing military service, he worked in the city of Kharkiv as a private entrepreneur in the manufacture of cabinet furniture.
On March 12, 2022, he was mobilized by the Kharkiv Central Military District and the Kharkiv City Joint Forces. He served as a sniper in the 2nd mechanized detachment of the 1st mechanized platoon of the 7th mechanized company of the 3rd mechanized battalion of the 92nd separate brigade.

Sister: Zvereva Elena Viktorovna, lives in the village of Kamyana Yaruga.
Wife: Yakimyshyna Galina Anatoliivna, lives in the village of Kamyana Yaruga.
Son: Zverev Danylo Sergeevich, born in 1998, lives outside the village of Kamyana Yaruga.
Circumstances of death:
On September 25, 2022, he died in battle, suffering an explosive injury, near the city of Kupyansk.
On October 4, 2022, he was buried in the cemetery in the village of Kamyana Yaruga.
By Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 10 dated January 9, 2023, "for personal courage and selfless actions shown in protecting the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, exemplary performance of military duty," he was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the 3rd degree (posthumously).
