Born on November 5, 1988 in Chuguev, Kharkiv region. Studied at secondary school No. 8, SPTU No. 53.
Before being drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he lived in the city of Chuguiv. Since 2012, he served under a contract as a fire department driver of the 92nd separate mechanized brigade. He participated in combat operations in the ATO zone in eastern Ukraine.

Died on December 21, 2016, as a result of an accident near the town of Krasnohorivka, Maryinsky district, Donetsk region. Senior soldier E. Syrotkin and soldier D. Matushkin died together with Dmytro.
Burial place: Kluhyno-Bashkyrivka village, Chuhuyiv city council, Kharkiv region.
