On the evening of March 10, a 35-year-old man opened fire on a street in the city of Chuguiv. As a result of the hooliganism, a window of an apartment located on the seventh floor was damaged.
Police officers of the Chuguiv District Police Department detained the offender in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. He was placed in a temporary detention center.
The investigative and operational team seized an object at the scene that looked like an AKS-74 firearm, two magazines, and ammunition for it.
Investigators have opened two criminal proceedings under Part 4 of Article 296 (hooliganism) and Part 1 of Article 263 (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
On March 11, the man was charged with criminal offenses and faces up to seven years in prison.
The issue of choosing a preventive measure is being resolved.
