Address by the Head of the Chuguiv City Military Administration, Halyna Minaeva, on the occasion of Ukrainian Statehood Day

Dear residents of the Chuhuyiv community, dear fellow countrymen!

Today we celebrate Ukrainian Statehood Day.

This holiday reminds us of the thousand-year history of our state, of the indomitability of the Ukrainian people, their desire for freedom, dignity, and the right to live on their land.

Today, these words have a special meaning for Ukrainians. We have been living in conditions of war for five years now. Daily anxieties, enemy shelling, losses, pain and trials have become a part of our lives. But at the same time, we demonstrate to the world every day the strength of the Ukrainian character - unity, mutual support, courage and faith.

Ukrainian statehood today is not just the pages of history textbooks. It is our military, who courageously defend the country. It is rescuers, doctors, police officers, utility workers, volunteers, teachers, farmers, entrepreneurs - everyone who helps Ukraine live, work and fight with their work. It is every resident of the community, who, despite the danger, does not lose humanity, supports his neighbor and does everything possible for a common victory.

We bow our heads to the bright memory of all those who gave their lives for the independence and freedom of Ukraine. Their feat will forever remain in the history of our state and in our hearts.

There are still many challenges ahead. But we have already proven: Ukrainians cannot be broken. Our strength lies in unity, in love for our homeland, in faith in justice and Victory.

May Ukrainian Statehood Day become another reminder for each of us that Ukraine was, is, and will be. And it is on our unity, responsibility, and daily work that what it will become after the Victory depends.

I wish every family peace, health, God's protection, endurance and faith. May peaceful skies reign over our community, over the Kharkiv region and over all of Ukraine as soon as possible.

Happy Ukrainian Statehood Day! Glory to Ukraine!
