
On July 1, 2026, the opening of the anniversary personal art exhibition of the Chuguiv artist, teacher of the Chuguiv Children's Art School named after I.Yu. Repin, member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, Valentina Kachyna, took place at the House of the Artist in Kharkiv.
The grand opening was attended by the chairman of the board of the Kharkiv branch of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, People's Artist of Ukraine Viktor Kovtun, colleagues, students of Valentina Kachyna, artists, and fans of fine arts.
On behalf of the head of the Chuguiv City Military Administration, Galina Minaeva, representatives of the Chuguiv City Council congratulated the hero of the day, wishing her good health, creative inspiration, new artistic achievements, and peaceful skies.
Valentina Kachyna was born on April 30, 1956. She began her art education at the Chuguiv Children's Art School, and in 1978 she graduated from the Kharkiv Art and Industrial Institute. Since then, she has been working as a teacher at the Chuguiv Children's Art School named after I.Yu. Repin, dedicating her life to educating the younger generation of artists.
Over the years of her teaching career, Valentyna Kachyna has trained dozens of talented students, many of whom continued their studies at art and architectural institutions of higher and professional pre-university education in Kharkiv, Ukraine, and the countries of the European Union.
Since 2009, the artist has been a member of the creative association of the city of Chuguiv, and since 2015, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. She actively participates in the cultural life of the Chuguiv community, is a participant in numerous all-Ukrainian, regional and city art exhibitions.
Valentina Kachyna's work is well known not only in Ukraine. Her works are held in private collections in Ukraine, Great Britain, Australia, China, and the United States of America.
The anniversary exhibition became a landmark event in the artistic life of the Kharkiv region, uniting connoisseurs of painting and testifying to the significant contribution of Valentina Kachyna to the development of Ukrainian fine arts and art education.
