On the occasion of the Constitution Day of Ukraine, a chess competition was held in Chuguiv with the participation of community residents and military personnel. Representatives of the 57th separate motorized infantry brigade named after Kostya Hordienko, the Cultural Landing of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the 87th Psychological Support Center, as well as other military units took part in the tournament.
The event is particularly symbolic of the figure of the Kosh Ataman Kostya Hordienko, whose name the brigade bears. It was thanks to his active statesmanship and support that the conditions were created for the emergence of the Pylyp Orlyk Constitution of 1710, a landmark of Ukrainian political and legal thought that became an important milestone in the history of Ukrainian statehood.
The combination of intellectual competition and historical memory became another reminder of the deep traditions of Ukrainian statehood, freedom, and responsibility for the future of one's country.
Such events are an important bridge between the military and civilians, as they contribute to mutual understanding, strengthen social cohesion, and form a common vision of Ukraine's future. It is in the unity of the community and the military, in respect for our history and common values, that the strength of the Ukrainian state lies.
