On June 11, a roundtable discussion on the topic "Inclusivity for Business and Community: Combining Psychosocial Support and Economic Opportunities" was held in Chuguiv, organized as part of the "RENOVATION" project of the Czech humanitarian organization "People in Need".
The event brought together representatives of the business community, specialists from the city council, and institutions working on business development, supporting employment, and creating new opportunities for community residents.
The Deputy Mayor of Chuguiv, Konstantin Barmin, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. He thanked the representatives of the organization "Person in Need" for the effective and fruitful cooperation with the Chuguiv community. Konstantin Barmin emphasized that thanks to the support of international partners, the community has repeatedly received significant and much-needed assistance, in particular to ensure the stable operation of municipal enterprises, which continue to provide vital services to residents in wartime conditions.
During the roundtable, participants learned about the State Employment Service grant programs and opportunities for supporting veteran businesses, implemented by the organization "Person in Need." Particular attention was paid to the issues of integrating psychosocial support into entrepreneurial activities, creating a barrier-free environment, and implementing the principles of inclusion in business and community work.
Special attention was paid to finding solutions to overcome barriers faced by veterans, internally displaced persons, people with disabilities, youth, and older adults. After all, a strong community begins with equal opportunities for everyone, and successful business is an important component of its development and recovery.
As a result of the work, the participants developed a number of practical proposals that can become the basis for further cooperation between the authorities, business and public organizations. It is such initiatives that help not only restore the economy, but also form an environment of trust, support and mutual understanding.
The Czech humanitarian organization People in Need is implementing the «RENOVATION» grant project in Ukraine. The program is funded by Switzerland and is aimed at providing economic support to vulnerable groups of the population. The organization offers various areas within the program: microgrants for training and retraining, grants for microbusinesses, and housing reconstruction.
