On May 28, the Chuhuiv community accompanied the defender of Ukraine, Vyacheslav Penkin, to his final journey.
Junior Sergeant Vyacheslav Pyonkin, born in 1971, served in the military as a driver. He was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine on December 29, 2022.
The soldier died on January 29, 2025, on one of the hottest front lines, while performing his military duty to protect the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Today, the community paid its last respects to the fallen defender, who showed courage, devotion to the military oath, and readiness to defend his native land to the last.
The bright memory of Vyacheslav Penkin will forever remain in the hearts of our compatriots. We express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the fallen soldier.
