With the onset of the warm season, the number of motorcycles, scooters, and motor scooters on the roads of the Chuguiv region has significantly increased. Along with this, the risk of road accidents involving motor vehicles is also increasing.
In order to prevent accidents and reduce the severity of the consequences of road accidents, police officers of the patrol police response department of the Chuguiv District Police Department are conducting preventive measures among drivers of two-wheeled vehicles.
When communicating with drivers, law enforcement officers emphasize: safety begins with responsibility. Observing traffic rules, choosing a safe speed, using motorcycle helmets and protective equipment are basic things that can save lives and health.
Police officers also pay special attention to maintaining silence in populated areas. The loud sound of a motorcycle is not only discomfort for residents. In conditions of martial law, it can cause anxiety and fear, as it is often associated with the sounds of enemy drones. Children, the elderly, and those who have survived shelling react especially sharply to this.
Law enforcement officers remind that special attention should be paid to observing silence at night — from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Violation of the established requirements entails administrative liability under Article 182 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.
Police officers urge motorcyclists to be aware, respect others, not endanger themselves and other road users, and not create unnecessary noise.
