«"Repair work is underway on state roads in the Kharkiv region," — Oleg Synegubov

Currently, work is underway to eliminate potholes in the most emergency areas, and new asphalt concrete pavement is being laid in some areas, said the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synegubov. The work is being carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine under the leadership of Oleksiy Kuleba.

«"First of all, work is being carried out on roads of national importance, as these are logistical routes in case of evacuation of the civilian population, rapid movement of emergency services, and generally ensuring life in the Kharkiv region. Repair crews are working in an intensified mode. We are working in close cooperation with the Government, the team of the President's Office, and the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine," said Oleg Synegubov.

After the end of the autumn-winter period, significant new damage to the pavement was recorded on the M-03 Kyiv-Kharkiv-Dovzhanskyi state road: potholes, chipping, peeling asphalt concrete, etc. In the area of the village of Pisochyn, contractors of the Infrastructure Restoration and Development Service in the Kharkiv region replaced the pavement and strengthened the base in places of subsidence and rutting. On other sections of the road, work is underway to mill the damaged areas for further installation of new asphalt, eliminate potholes using hot asphalt concrete. In total, 2.2 kilometers of pavement have already been completely reconstructed on the M-03 highway.

Emergency work is also being carried out on the M-18 Kharkiv-Simferopol-Alushta-Yalta highway, which is part of the Kharkiv ring road. Near the Zhykhor neighborhood, damaged areas are being milled and new asphalt is being laid.

Work will soon begin near the village of Naukovyi on the M-18-01 Southwestern bypass of Kharkiv.
