The selection of participants for a large-scale cultural and artistic project - a festival of modern patriotic songs - has begun in Ukraine. «"ZaKhistFest"». The organizers were TV channels «"Galicia"», «"Our Music"» and «"Discovery"».
«"ZaKhistFest"» is a platform for shaping new national narratives through music. The project's goal is to support talented performers who reflect on the events of the struggle for Ukraine's Independence and use art as a tool of resistance.
Who can participate? Soloists and groups aged from are invited to participate. 14 years old. The organizers especially encourage servicemen, veterans, their relatives, internally displaced persons, and youth from frontline areas. There is no upper age limit — we are looking for the true voices of modern Ukraine.
Genres and requirements:
- Rock, pop, rap, ethno-fusion, acoustics.
- Performance of one composition in Ukrainian (original work or modern interpretation of historical songs).
- Timing - up to 4 minutes.
Stages of the festival:
- Qualifying (until May 30): online application submission (form + video of the speech).
- Final: A gala concert of the 15 best finalists, which will be part of a major television broadcast on all-Ukrainian channels.
Participation in the festival is free of charge. All finalists will receive a professional video recording of their performance and prizes from partners.
