The Infrastructure Restoration and Development Service in Kharkiv Region warns of worsening weather conditions in the region

On Saturday night, a cyclone will move from the Dnipropetrovsk region to the Kharkiv region, bringing freezing rain with subsequent transition to wet snow. Precipitation will spread throughout the region and, according to weather forecasters, will last at least until Monday. The bad weather will be accompanied by the formation of ice, reduced visibility, and worsening road conditions.

In this regard, road services will work in an intensified mode. Special equipment will be on duty on state highways around the clock, the roadway will be treated with anti-icing materials, and the condition of the road surface will be constantly monitored.

At the same time, drivers are urged to refrain from traveling during bad weather, especially in the evening and morning hours, if possible. Carriers and drivers of heavy and oversized vehicles are asked to closely monitor official messages from the Service, as in the event of significant worsening of weather conditions, temporary traffic restrictions may be introduced.

All road users are asked to be especially careful, adhere to the speed limit and traffic rules, maintain a safe distance, and ensure unhindered passage for road equipment and specialized vehicles with orange flashing lights that will be working to eliminate the consequences of bad weather.
