KONDRATYUK Oleg Mykolayovych (call sign Ded)

Born on 03.06.1971 in the city of Oleksandria, Kirovograd region. After graduating from Oleksandria eight-year school No. 19, he studied at Oleksandria industrial technical school. He served his military service from 1990 to 1992. After returning from military service, he worked as a labor training teacher at Oleksandria eight-year school No. 11.

After leaving school, he worked for ten years at private enterprises, as a carpenter in a military unit stationed in the city of Alexandria, and as a controller at METRO-1 LLC.

Since 2016, Oleg has connected his life with service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Having moved to the city of Chuguiv in August 2016, he applied to the Chuguiv Regional Military District and signed a contract for military service as part of the 203rd Training Aviation Brigade as a rifleman of the security platoon of the security company of the security battalion. While in military service, Oleg repeatedly performed official tasks in the ATO areas during the period 2016-2021 (about 3 years in total).

Circumstances of death:

War has a drastic effect on the health of military personnel, causing physical injuries and psychological disorders. Chronic fatigue and moral exhaustion due to constant danger seriously affected Oleg's health. In October 2024, he was forced to seek medical help. And since then, for more than a year, Oleg has been forced to be treated at the Military Medical Clinical Center of the Northern Region, at the Municipal Non-Profit Enterprise of the Kharkiv Regional Council "Regional Clinical Hospital", at the V.T. Zaitsev Institute of General and Emergency Surgery and combine his treatment with service. During this time, he underwent several surgical interventions. While still undergoing surgery at the V.T. Zaitsev Institute of General and Emergency Surgery, on 05.12.2025, Oleg Kondratyuk died.

Oleg Kondratyuk was buried on December 6, 2025 on the Alley of Memory in the city of Chuguiv.

The soldier is survived by his father, mother, and younger brother, who live outside the city of Chuguiv, and his wife and son, who live in the city of Chuguiv.

Oleg Kondratyuk was awarded the Order of the President of Ukraine "For the Defense of Ukraine".
