According to the Administration of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the main form of human trafficking in 2025 remained the involvement of women in sexual exploitation, mainly in the territory of EU member states. In addition, cases of involvement of Ukrainian citizens in illegal activities abroad continue, mainly for the purpose of use in illegal tobacco production and transportation of illegal migrants through the territory of EU member states as drivers. These forms of human trafficking remain relevant in 2026 and will continue to be relevant in the short term.
Within the framework of the Memorandum concluded between the National Police of Ukraine and the International Justice Mission (hereinafter referred to as IJM), the Department of Migration Police (hereinafter referred to as DMP), the Department of Communication (hereinafter referred to as DC) of the National Police of Ukraine and IJM have prepared educational materials aimed at raising public awareness of the issues of human trafficking and child exploitation.
Also, within the framework of the aforementioned Memorandum, the DMP, together with the DC and IJM, developed a web resource - stoptraffic.com.ua and information leaflets containing a QR code to go to it. The specified web resource contains educational materials aimed at raising public awareness of the issues of human trafficking and child exploitation, defining the concept of human trafficking, its main forms, provisions of Ukrainian and international legislation, signs of potential danger, practical recommendations for avoiding risks, as well as contact details and a feedback form for reporting possible facts of human trafficking.
