Due to damage to generation equipment, broken distribution networks and transformers, an extremely difficult situation has developed in the Ukrainian energy system.
We inform you that since January 9, after the most massive shelling of cities with a population of millions by the enemy, NPC Ukrenergo has been taking preventive measures to preserve the integrity of the power system by introducing hourly outage schedules (HOT), emergency outage schedules (EOT), and special emergency outage schedules (SEA).
Importantly, GAV and SGAV are applied situationally, based on the need to balance the unified energy system of Ukraine.
The commands to introduce SGAV and GAV are urgent, the time for their implementation is 3 and 15 minutes, respectively. Therefore, power engineers are not able to warn in advance about their use.
Today, curtailment schedules are the only way to preserve the power system and prevent a blackout.
At the same time, energy industry specialists are working non-stop to restore damaged equipment in order to restore power to consumers as soon as possible.
