This year, the amount of child birth assistance has changed. In addition, new types of state assistance are being introduced for families with children, and the already known child benefits continue to operate. They can be applied for by one of the child's parents or the guardian with whom the child permanently resides.

Amount of child birth benefit: what has changed
One-time assistance at the birth of a child:
- previously: 10,320 UAH one-time, then — 860 UAH for 36 months
- now: 50,000 UAH one-time.

- previously: 7,689 UAH
- now: 8,451 UAH.
You can still receive a "baby package" in kind (clothes, food, etc.) or cash compensation.
New types of state assistance for families with children
In 2026, the following new types of assistance were introduced:
- in connection with pregnancy and childbirth (for the unemployed) — 7,000 UAH/month
- for caring for a child until he or she reaches 1 year of age — 7,000 UAH/month, and for a child with a disability — 10,500 UAH/month
- for care for a child in the "e-Nursery" from 1 to 3 years old (if the mother or other legal representative goes to work after the child turns one year old) - 8,000 UAH/month, and for a child with a disability - 12,000 UAH/month.
«The "Student Package" will continue to be provided in 2026
Assistance to first-grade students — UAH 5,000 per child for the purchase of necessary school supplies (stationery), books, children's clothing and shoes, which was introduced in 2025, will be provided in 2026.
