These are 10 short series of 4–10 minutes long with clear explanations, examples, and tools that you can apply immediately:
- what is mentoring and how does it differ from one-time volunteering or charity work;
- who can be a mentor;
- how to build safe, trusting relationships with children and youth, taking into account age and psychological characteristics;
- how to support the development of independence, resilience, and healthy social connections;
- how to act with the child or young person, not instead of them, and at the same time prevent emotional burnout;
- what risks may arise in the mentoring process and how to form your own circle of support;
- how to get involved in mentoring and develop it in your community.
The educational series is designed so that everyone — regardless of previous experience — can understand the essence of mentoring and act responsibly and consciously.
It will be useful:
- those who plan to become a mentor, as well as those who already have such experience;
- volunteers;
- specialists in the social sphere and education;
- to everyone who wants to become a support for children and youth.
The series will feature Inna Miroshnychenko, Yefim Konstantinovsky, Kyrylo Nevdokha, Sofia Yudina, Yulia Didula, and Yulia Marchuk. Each of the speakers brings their own perspective and experience — professional, parental, community, or personal.
