«"The Language of Trust: How to Talk to Children About Important Things" - this was the topic of a meeting for teenagers from foster families, family-type orphanages, and foster families of the Chuhuiv community, which took place at the Center for Resilience.
The event was held as part of the UNICEF project "Strengthening Alternative Care through Support for Better Care Reform in Kharkiv Oblast" and aimed to raise awareness among adolescents about sexual education and the formation of healthy and safe relationships.
The event's expert was Viktoriya Kaspitska, a sexual health specialist. She helped participants learn how to talk openly and honestly with parents about sex, control emotions, and build trusting relationships within the family.
The UNICEF project "Strengthening Alternative Care through Support for Better Care Reform in Kharkiv Oblast" is implemented by the Volunteers: Adults for Children Foundation together with the Children's Service of the Kharkiv Oblast Administration and the Kharkiv Regional Center for Social Services with financial support from the Governments of France and Ireland, as well as the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through the state development bank KfW.
