The State Statistics Service informs that in accordance with the plan of state statistical observations for 2025, approved by the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated October 15, 2024 No. 1003-r, in December 2025, state statistics bodies will begin conducting a household budget survey (hereinafter referred to as the HBS, survey), which will last until the end of 2026.
Along with the main interview, a survey on the health status of household members will be conducted in accordance with the European Union methodology.
It will allow obtaining information about the general state of health, access to medical services, lifestyle of the population, and will ensure comparability of indicators and support Ukraine's European integration commitments.
The purpose of the HBS is to obtain data on demographic characteristics, household expenditure structure, welfare indicators of various social groups, and other issues related to the standard of living of Ukrainian families.
The results will help, in particular, to assess the level of well-being of the population, develop social support programs and determine regional development priorities, providing a basis for decision-making at the state and local levels. The data will also be used to calculate important indicators - the consumer price index, energy balance, Sustainable Development Goals, gender statistics, and individual food security indicators.
Households will have the opportunity to choose a convenient way to participate:
• During a specialist visit;
• Through a telephone interview;
• Using electronic questionnaires on the State Statistics Service website.
Confidentiality is guaranteed. All information received will be used only in a generalized form and exclusively in accordance with the laws of Ukraine "On Official Statistics" and "On Information".
