At the initiative of the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine, a training program for women leaders in the transport sector called "Manage Change" is being launched.
The women's leadership development program will help you take successful steps in your future career, develop your entrepreneurial potential to start your own business, and implement social projects and initiatives.
«Women already play a key role in the restoration and transformation of the transport sector, and our task is to create even more opportunities for them. The “Lead the Change” program will help participants strengthen their leadership skills, implement their own projects, and become drivers of change in communities, companies, and state institutions. We are building a modern, inclusive, and competitive transport system – and without the participation of women, this is simply impossible. I am grateful to the partners from the International Transport Forum who supported this initiative,» emphasized Serhiy Derkach, Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine.

Who can become a participant in the project?
- heads and managers of transport enterprises or relevant specialized units (state, municipal, private);
- representatives of local government bodies (departments of transport, infrastructure, economic development);
- civil servants and representatives of specialized ministries and services working in departments related to the transport sector (Ministry of Development, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Energy, Ukrtransbezpeka, Recovery Agency);
- representatives of educational and scientific institutions working in the field of transport, logistics, urban planning or sustainable development;
- participants and graduates of women's retraining initiatives who seek to move from professional growth to managerial or public leadership;
- public activists and experts involved in the development of transport infrastructure.
The training begins in the second half of January. During this time, a team of experts and mentors will help you gain new knowledge in the areas of innovation, entrepreneurship, and transport development. In total, women leaders in the transport sector will undergo 40 training hours, which are divided into three modules: two online and the third offline, participation in this event is mandatory.
The third module is the practical part of the training, where participants present their completed projects and programs in the following areas:
- Transport sector at the community level;
- Public transport;
- Scientific and educational activities in the field of transport;
- Community activities and increasing the role of women in the transport sector.
Applications for participation in the program begin today, December 4. The application deadline is December 26, 2025.
25 participants will be selected to participate who meet the criteria, have relevant experience, and a strong motivation to join the project.
