Chuguiv City Council continues to establish cultural ties with the hero city of Kharkiv.
For the first time since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the works of students of the Chuguiv Children's Art School named after I.Yu. Repin were presented to a wide audience in an offline format.
Thanks to the cooperation of the Chuguiv City Council and Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov, a joint exhibition of works by students of art schools in Chuguiv and Kharkiv was held, dedicated to the Day of the Artist of Ukraine. The exhibition entitled "Art unites" could be seen for a week at the "Historical Museum" metro station in Kharkiv.
The exhibition featured 40 bright works by young artists aged 9 to 15 – 20 works from each school. In their works, the children depicted their favorite corners of their native cities – Kharkiv and Chuguiev, conveying their beauty, strength and spirit. The diverse themes of the compositions, landscapes, collages, executed in painting and graphic techniques, made a deep impression on the audience.
The head of the Chuguiv city military administration, Galina Minaeva, noted that this event became a symbol of unity and cultural mutual enrichment of the two cities:
«"The exhibition "Art Unites" not only unites cities, but also proves that the desire of our children to learn, create and dream is invincible. Even war cannot break their thirst for beauty and inspiration.".
Halyna Minaeva also expressed sincere gratitude to Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov for supporting initiatives aimed at developing partnerships between cities and creating opportunities for creative self-expression for young artists.
