On October 18, 2025, a young soldier who gave his life for Ukraine, 29-year-old Valeriy Puhalsky, was laid to rest in Chuhuiv. Our compatriot died on October 11, 2025 near the village of Lyptsy, Kharkiv region, while performing a combat mission.
Senior soldier Valery Puhalsky served as the commander of a mortar platoon. Service was a true calling of the heart for him. After being seriously wounded, he voluntarily returned to his unit and considered it an honor to serve with his brothers. Valery was an exemplary soldier, remained faithful to his military oath until the last, worthily defended the territorial integrity and state sovereignty of Ukraine and died as a Hero.
In September, Valery turned 29. He recently married his beloved girlfriend, Yevgenia. It seemed that his whole life was ahead of him. But fate did not allow it… The war destroyed all plans… How unfairly the lives of our defenders are cut short because of the war with the Russian aggressor! What a terrible price our freedom and independence are being fought for!
On October 18, Valery Puhalsky was buried with military honors on the Alley of Memory in Chuhuiv. Sincere condolences to the family of the fallen Defender... Eternal memory and honor to the Hero...
