In order to prevent rabies in domestic animals, specialists of the Chuguiv District Veterinary Medicine Department of the Kharkiv Regional State Hospital of Veterinary Medicine will conduct preventive vaccinations of dogs and cats against rabies in the city of Chuguiv on September 18, 19, 22, 2025 at the address: Oleksandra Zachepyla St., 15, tel. (05746) 2-21-16. Working hours: Mon-Thu from 8:00 to 16:45, Fri from 8:00 to 15:45, Sat-Sun - weekends.
Preventive vaccination will protect the animal from rabies infection for 1 year.
We emphasize once again! Rabies is an extremely dangerous infectious disease common to humans and animals, accompanied by severe damage to the central nervous system and always ends in death.
To prevent rabies in animals, all pets must be vaccinated annually, starting at 3 months of age.
Remember: rabies cannot be cured, it can only be prevented! The most effective way is vaccination!
The rabies vaccine is free, the cost of the preventive vaccination service is 11.05 UAH.
To get vaccinated, you only need to contact the veterinary medicine hospitals of the State Service for Food and Consumer Protection of your region.

Since the beginning of 2025, 6 unfavorable animal rabies points have been registered in Chuguyiv district (4 cats, 2 dogs, 1 fox). Quarantine restrictions have been lifted in 2 of them, however, quarantine restrictions have been extended in one settlement due to the registration of a dog rabies case.
