Greetings from Galina Minaeva on Rescuer's Day

Dear rescuers!

I sincerely congratulate you on your professional holiday - Rescuer's Day!

Today we honor people of special courage and bravery – those who consciously chose a profession where every working day can be a feat, and every challenge a test of strength of spirit. Your work has always been associated with risk, but in the conditions of full-scale war it has acquired a special heroic meaning.

Russia's full-scale armed invasion of Ukraine has radically changed the working conditions of our rescue services. Today, you work not only with natural disasters and man-made accidents - you save lives under artillery fire, pull people out of rubble after missile strikes, and extinguish fires caused by enemy shells.

You continue to serve because you know that somewhere they are waiting for help, somewhere there may be a living person under the rubble, somewhere your professional hand and courageous heart are needed.

I express special respect to the firefighters and rescuers who, under shelling, extinguish fires at critically important facilities, in residential buildings, and at enterprises - you risk your lives not only for the sake of people, but also for the sake of preserving the infrastructure of our city; to the specialists of the emergency and rescue services who work at the sites of missile strikes, dismantle rubble, search for and pull people out - your golden hands and professionalism bring back to life those who, it would seem, had no chance; to the demining specialists who clear our streets, yards, and fields of explosives - you open up peaceful life where there was a war; to the drivers of rescue equipment who, under shelling, deliver brigades to emergency sites, evacuate victims, and ensure the work of rescue services; to the rescue service dispatchers who coordinate work in extreme conditions, accept calls even during air alerts, and ensure communication between services.

During the war, our rescuers saved thousands of lives, extinguished hundreds of fires, and cleared dozens of rubble. Each person saved is not only a professional success, it is a victory of life over death, good over evil, humanity over the cruelty of war.

A special word of gratitude to the families of our rescuers. Your support, patience, and understanding give our heroes the strength to carry out their difficult mission. Your strength of spirit is also a feat.

Dear rescuers!

May God's grace always protect you! May every trip end successfully, may all your colleagues return home alive and healthy. May the time come soon when your work will once again become a rescue from natural disasters, and not from the horrors of war.

You are the true heroes of our time. Your service is a service to the highest human values: life, safety, and compassion. We are proud of you!

Glory to the saviors of Ukraine!
