Payments from the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) for pensioners, non-pensioners and people with disabilities ended in July 2025

ООН

In August 2023, the Ministry of Social Policy, the Pension Fund, and the UN World Food Program (UNWFP) initiated a joint project aimed at ensuring maximum synergy in providing Ukrainian citizens with financial support from international humanitarian organizations.

As a result, Ukrainians from the most vulnerable categories, living in areas of active or possible hostilities, have low incomes and do not receive other financial assistance from international organizations, received additional financial support until July 2025 inclusive.

The amount of such assistance – this is the difference between the pension (or social benefit) that a person already has and UAH 3,250. That is, if the social benefit is, for example, UAH 2,700, the person receives another UAH 550 in additional assistance from the UN WFP.

Due to limited financial resources, the WFP Supplementary Cash Assistance program has been completed. Those who met the project's conditions are informed that the July payments are the last under this program and Recipients of assistance through JSC Ukrposhta will be paid by the end of August 2025.

If additional funding becomes available, the program may be reinstated or replaced with another form of assistance.

Recipients of the benefit do not need to apply anywhere else. It will be paid in the same way that the person already receives a pension or social benefits (to a bank card or through Ukrposhta).
