The Employment Service provides comprehensive support to internally displaced persons (IDPs), helping them not only find work, but also learn new professional skills, develop their own business ideas, and adapt to changes in the labor market.
What does the Employment Service offer for IDPs?
1. Thousands of current vacancies, including those with housing.
Thanks to the modern digital services of the Employment Service, job searching has become more accessible and convenient. You can search for vacancies yourself through the Unified Portal or the PES mobile application. If you need help, the Service's specialists are ready to provide individual support and select the best employment options.
2. Vocational training.
IDPs who are registered as unemployed can receive free vocational training at 8 Vocational Education Centers of the Employment Service. They can obtain one of 100 working professions or study in more than 460 educational programs.
3. Voucher education.
Vouchers for training can be obtained by internally displaced Ukrainians with vocational or higher education who do not have the status of unemployed. The amount of the voucher is 30,280 UAH. You can learn a new profession or improve your skills. The program covers 155 relevant professions and specialties.
4. Experimental project for women.
You can join a pilot project that helps internally displaced Ukrainian women gain new skills in fields traditionally considered "male" and get a job after training.
5. Support in starting your own business.
The Employment Service helps IDPs implement their business ideas by providing grant support. The amount of micro-grants is from 50 to 500 thousand hryvnias. IDPs who have the status of a participant in hostilities or their spouses can apply for grants from 250 thousand to 1 million hryvnias. You can also receive a grant of up to 1 million hryvnias to create a private preschool institution. You can apply for a grant through Diya by attaching a business plan.
6. Compensation to employers for employing IDPs.
Employers who employ IDPs can receive compensation from the Employment Service in the amount of the minimum wage — 8,000 UAH per month for three months. In the case of employment of IDPs with disabilities, payments last up to six months. In addition, if the IDP is a person with a disability of group I or II, the employer can arrange a workplace for him or her and receive compensation for expenses from the Employment Service (up to 120 thousand UAH for arranging a workplace for a person with a disability of group I, up to 80 thousand UAH for a person with a disability of group II).
To receive comprehensive assistance, you should use the "Single Window" service on the Employment Service website. This includes all partner organizations of the Employment Service, ready to help with material, legal and psychological support, as well as document restoration.
