According to the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, on the night of August 9, the Russian army attacked settlements in the Kharkiv region using Geran-2 drones.
At least 10 strikes were recorded in the city of Chuguiv between 1:10 and 1:30. Houses were damaged, apartments caught fire. Six people, including a 15-year-old girl, were injured, burned, and suffered acute shock.
The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synegubov, reported that the 15-year-old girl has multiple injuries and burns. The girl is in a coma and on a ventilator.
Under the procedural leadership of the Chuguiv District Prosecutor's Office of the Kharkiv Region, a pre-trial investigation into the commission of a war crime (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) has been initiated.
The head of the Chuguiv city military administration, Galina Minaeva, reported that six residents were injured as a result of the shelling on the night of August 9, some of them are in serious condition. The apartment building was seriously damaged. Municipal services promptly helped residents minimize the consequences of the shelling, close the building's perimeters, and remove garbage.
As always, representatives of the city's damaged property commission were on site.
Reliable friends of the Chuhuiv community came to the rescue - the Red Cross and UNICEF, who set up aid points for the victims.
All necessary forces were directed to eliminate the consequences of the shelling.
The following night, August 10, the Russian aggressor again struck Chuguev with a UAV.
– Even for one day, this holiday for Chuguev, the enemy does not let us forget that the war is ongoing. At night, another drone strike was carried out on one of the city's microdistricts. As a result, a kindergarten and two civilian enterprises were damaged. Fortunately, this time there were no casualties. Specialized services are dealing with the elimination of the consequences of the shelling, – reported Galina Minaeva.
