The Chuguiv region police reported that during January-June 2025, 35 road accidents with victims were registered in the Chuguiv district, which is 84% more than in the same period last year. 7 people died, 51 people were injured.
According to statistics, the largest number of road accidents with victims is registered on Saturday and Friday. Most often, car accidents occur between 3 and 6 p.m., and the peak number of accidents is at 6 p.m.
The most common cause of road accidents with injuries and fatalities is exceeding the permitted speed limit. Other common causes of accidents were failure to observe the distance, the rules of traffic at intersections and pedestrian crossings, as well as driving while intoxicated.
