The rehabilitation department of the Chuguiv Central City Hospital has received a new batch of modern equipment, which will significantly improve the quality of care for people injured by explosive devices (EDDs), as well as patients with injuries and neurological disorders.
The new equipment will allow specialists to work more effectively with patients who have amputations, neurological complications, speech disorders, or have lost functional independence due to injuries or chronic diseases. Its use contributes to the restoration of motor and speech functions, the reduction of pain syndrome, and an overall improvement in the quality of life. In particular, the equipment helps to combat the consequences of explosive injuries - such as chronic pain, coordination and balance disorders.
The equipment includes, in particular: a ceiling lift, functional medical beds, bedside tables with bedside tables, neuromuscular stimulation devices, speech therapy equipment, a dry heat cabinet, and other means for physical and speech rehabilitation.
At least 150 patients are expected to receive quality rehabilitation care by the end of July, including people who have suffered blast injuries, amputations, or neurological complications.
The equipment was transferred within the framework of the project "Expanding the rehabilitation opportunities of persons affected by IEDs at the Chuguiv Central Hospital of Kharkiv Region", which is implemented by the Angels of Salvation Foundation with the support of UNDP within the framework of the Mine Action in Ukraine project with financial support from the Government of the Republic of Korea.
