KP "Chuguyivvoda" informs you about the need to install or move water metering units (meters) to cut-in wells at the water supply inlet, which are located on the border of distribution networks.
According to the "Rules for the Use of Centralized Municipal Water Supply and Sewerage Systems in Settlements of Ukraine" (as amended by the Order of the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine dated April 19, 2021 No. 97), the water supply inlet (border of distribution networks) - a pipeline from the network of the utility provider (Community Enterprise "Chuguyivvoda") at the point of connection, with a well, branch pipe and shut-off valves to the outer wall of the building or the boundary of the object's territory, is the property of the subscriber.
Why does this need to be done?
1. Transparent water consumption accounting
A meter installed in a cut-in well allows you to accurately determine the amount of water that enters the household without outside intervention.
This ensures fair accounting for both the consumer and the water utility.
2. Reducing water loss
Moving the meter allows you to detect hidden leaks or illegal taps into the water supply network.
3. Compliance with applicable legislation
According to the Law of Ukraine "On Commercial Accounting of Thermal Energy and Water Supply", accounting must be carried out at the distribution boundary (balance maintenance).
4. Simplifying access for maintenance and inspections
Water utility employees will be able to freely read indicators, monitor the technical condition of the meter, and check for unauthorized interference.
