On April 19, 2025, the community, with deep sadness, saw off their fellow countryman, a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Captain Vitaliy Zaporizhsky, who died defending his native land from Russian aggression.
Vitaliy Oleksiyovych Zaporizhsky served as the head of the electronic warfare group of the headquarters of one of the military units. He died on April 17, 2025 in the Kupyansk direction as a result of the discharge of explosives from an enemy UAV - the soldier received injuries incompatible with life. The hero was 47 years old.
The burial took place on the Alley of Memory in Chuguiv with full military honors.
