Solving the urgent problems of Kochetok and the prospects for the further development of the village were discussed at a meeting between the head of the Chuguiv City Military Administration, Halyna Minaeva, and the active population of the settlement.
There were many reasons for such communication, because it was Kochetok that became the first settlement of the Chuhuiv community, where the implementation of the “Community Police Officer” project was launched. It is in Kochetok that the largest number of apartment buildings with all the accompanying problems among rural settlements is located. It is Kochetok that has now become a temporary home for the largest number of internally displaced persons. Therefore, there are many reasons to keep the village in the zone of constant and increased attention.
The conversation turned out to be quite frank and constructive. Following its results, Galina Minaeva noted that the project “Community Police Officer” is already demonstrating its effectiveness in the direction of a more operational and less bureaucratic approach to the prevention and detection of offenses, primarily such as domestic violence, drug trafficking, and hooliganism. Therefore, the local authorities will continue to do their best to facilitate the implementation of this project in the community, Galina Minaeva assures.
Significant efforts and resources are required to solve such problems of Kochetka as water supply and maintenance of housing stock. But in many ways, consumer debts for services already received are an obstacle. The current situation is such that it is not possible to count on solving housing and communal services problems from the local budget. Firstly, its revenue has significantly decreased due to a number of reasons related to the war. Secondly, the community leadership is directing significant resources to support military defenders.
This year alone, 22.6 million UAH of aid has already been transferred to military units from the local budget. So once again, we call on the residents of Kochetk and the entire community to be responsible about the issue of timely payments for utility services. The sustainable functioning of utility companies, and therefore the quality of the services they provide, will depend on this.
During the meeting, a number of other issues were discussed in detail, such as the prospects for reforming secondary education institutions in the community, the development of entrepreneurship, the work of the village head, Kochetko's participation in the implementation of technical assistance projects, and the provision of social services.
– I would like to note that our main achievement since the village was incorporated into the Chuguiv community is its continuous development. Even despite the war and the numerous economic difficulties associated with it. And this is, first of all, the merit of the residents who love their native village and each in their own place is doing everything possible to make it more cozy and comfortable., – Halyna Minaeva summed up the meeting, and also assured that the systematic solution to Kochetka's problems will continue, because the community leadership has a clear vision and the necessary resources for this work.
