
Mykhailo was born on June 17, 1981 in the village of Zalisya, Chortkiv district, Ternopil region. There, in 1996, he graduated from 9 grades of secondary school, and in 1999, he graduated from Chortkiv secondary vocational school No. 29, receiving the specialty of construction painter, plasterer.

In the late 90s, he served his military service in the city of Chuguiv, Kharkiv region, after which he signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He married and lived with his family in the city of Chuguiv. After completing his military service under the contract, Mikhail worked for a long time at enterprises in the city of Chuguiv. With the outbreak of a full-scale war, he moved his family to his native village. However, they later returned home to the Kharkiv region. Mikhail loved fishing very much and devoted his free time to his favorite thing.
He was called up for military service upon mobilization on September 14, 2024 by the Lozovsky RTCC and the Joint Service of the Kharkiv Region. He served as a grenade launcher in the 1st airmobile detachment of the 2nd airmobile platoon of the 4th airmobile company of the airmobile battalion of the 95th separate airborne assault brigade.




The soldier is survived by his mother, Yaroslava Mykhailivna Slobodian, who lives in the Ternopil region, his wife, Nataliya Serhiivna Slobodian, his daughter, Nadiya Slobodian, born in 2006, and his son, Maksym Slobodian, born in 2010. They live in the city of Chuhuiv.
Circumstances of death:
Died on 03/20/2025 near the settlement of Oleshnya, Sudzhansky district, Kursk region of the Russian Federation, as a result of artillery shelling. While performing military duty in the battle for Ukraine, its freedom and independence, Mykhailo received serious injuries incompatible with life.
Mikhail was buried on March 26, 2025 in the city of Chuguev on the Alley of Memory.

In accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 310/2025, for personal courage shown in protecting the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, selfless performance of military duty, Mykhailo Slobodyan was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the 3rd degree (posthumously). The state award was presented to the family of the fallen soldier - his wife Natalia and children Nadiya and Maksym - by Deputy Mayor-Head of the Executive Committee Lyudmila Makarenko and Deputy Head of the Chuguiv RTCC and SP Volodymyr Fedotov.
