The most pressing issue is the return of defenders to civilian life after returning from the front. The state is actively trying to provide veterans of both sexes with opportunities to start their own businesses or acquire new professional skills.

Opportunities for veterans to access entrepreneurship, employment and retraining. The Employment Service supports two grant programs - "Own Business" and "Grant for Veterans and Their Spouses" within the framework of the government project "eWork", in which veterans can participate. Grant funds are intended for the creation or development of their own business. A mandatory condition for receiving grant funds is the creation of new jobs. Under the "Own Business" program, a participant whose business project has been approved can receive from 75 thousand to 500 thousand hryvnias.

Under the "Grant for Veterans" program, which is open to combatants, persons with disabilities as a result of war, and their family members, the amount of grants ranges from UAH 250,000 to UAH 1 million, depending on the number of new jobs created.

GRANT APPLICATIONS ARE SUBMITTED THROUGH THE "DYIA" APPLICATION«

The entrepreneur can use the grant funds to purchase equipment, raw materials, materials, rent premises and vehicles necessary for the implementation of the business project, purchase licensed software, pay for marketing and advertising services. Veteran grant recipients will be able to receive free training on entrepreneurship and receive consultations at regional employment centers.

The algorithm for obtaining a grant is as follows. After submitting an application and documents through the «Diya» portal, a business reputation check is carried out. Next is an interview at the regional employment center. In case of a positive decision, the grantee registers an individual entrepreneur and opens a bank account.

The employment service assists veterans in the process of adapting to civilian life after completing their service.

One of the key functions is to provide veterans with opportunities to find new jobs that match their skills and experience. Employment service specialists conduct individual consultations, identifying potential career development directions.

The Employment Service offers combatants and citizens with disabilities as a result of war opportunities for vocational training to improve their competitiveness in the labor market. They can improve their qualifications or acquire a new profession in demand in the labor market at vocational education institutions of the State Employment Service.

In addition, there is an opportunity to receive a voucher and study in a chosen profession or specialty from the List approved by the Ministry of Economy. The maximum cost of a voucher for training is almost 30 thousand UAH. In order to receive a voucher, a participant in hostilities must not be registered with the employment service as unemployed, and must also have higher or vocational education. After completing the training, students are issued a state-issued document on the assignment of the relevant qualification.

Applying to the employment service significantly speeds up the employment process, as the service's specialists provide individual support, selecting a job taking into account the specifics, in particular, organizing professional training directly at the future workplace. You can also look for a job yourself directly on the "Single Vacancy Portal".
