
The second phase of the national project «Side by Side: United Communities» has begun in the Kharkiv region. Its goal is to assist outpost communities located on the frontline or near the borders through cooperation with partner communities from the rear regions of Ukraine.
This time, 16 communities of Kharkiv region from Kupyansk, Izyumsk, Lozovsk, Kharkiv and Chuhuyiv districts joined the project, which will receive support from partners from Kyiv, Lviv, Poltava, Ivano-Frankivsk, Vinnytsia, Ternopil, Volyn, Khmelnytskyi, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr and Cherkasy regions.
After a series of study visits by representatives of rear communities to the Kharkiv region, the Kharkiv Regional Office discussed key areas of cooperation and signed relevant memorandums. In particular, assistance in carrying out emergency and restoration work, repair of residential and social facilities; providing outpost communities with the necessary resources; implementing joint activities, including improving the health of children; joint work on strengthening the economic potential of communities.

In order to provide effective assistance to residents of front-line and de-occupied territories, the Kharkiv OVA is actively establishing and strengthening cooperation with partners. My sincere gratitude to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development for the extremely important initiative aimed at supporting the front-line regions of the country," said the head of the Kharkiv OVA, Oleg Synegubov.
The head of the national project "Side by Side: United Communities", Mariana Tomin, during her welcoming address to community representatives, emphasized that the highest value of Ukraine is its citizens, and unity and mutual support are of particular importance in the current conditions.
«"As part of the first wave of the project in the Kharkiv region, 7 outpost communities were involved. In the second stage, 16 communities of the Kharkiv region took part. We all face difficulties, but outpost communities are in the most needy position. That is why the goal of this project is to provide support to those who need it most. Joint work continues, and this project is an example of unity that overcomes challenges and brings Ukraine's victory closer," said Maryana Tomin.
We would like to remind you that within the first stage of "Side by Side", 7 communities of the Kharkiv region - Kharkiv, Izyum, Balakliya, Kupyansk, Boriv, Chuhuyiv and Savynsk - have already united with partner communities and received support from different regions of Ukraine.
